Duckhead is attending Taipei Toy festival (extremely hard to get into), and is offering to brand his booth as Nouns and exhibit the recently completed resin prototypes alongside new Nounish Vinyl Toys he plans to develop with this proposal.

Hyalinobatrachium Nouns Vinyl Toy Concept
Note: Duckhead will be attending these events regardless and have the Nouns resin toys, this activation would enable the entire stand to be branded Nounish, lead with the Nouns toys, and continue development.

Additional Note: Prior to the Taipei Toy Festival, Duckhead will showcase resin toy samples at:
- Shanghai (May)
- Hong Kong ACG (a toy convention including large-scale game-related events) in late July.

Cost: total 23,735 USDC
Breakdown:
- Production for vinyl cost : 17,800 USDC Prototype production is complete for the resin toys, and we plan to produce 6-8 types, with 100-150 units of each design. Limited resin editions available for purchase: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdxSgIKTu3i0PrVotjFkbetjGE_eAQ7kl-r3IeZKy0dNzkPzQ/viewform Production is planned for Japan, but production will also take place in Hong Kong depending on the estimate and schedule. A small quantity of limited edition special versions will also be included. Due to the cultural characteristics of vinyl toys, Japanese products are considered to be of the highest quality. Hong Kong and Taiwan are the second largest markets.
- Total quantity: 800 - 1,200 units
Estimated production cost per unit: $14-20
- Other costs: Taipei event booth fee 2375 USDC -(Duckhead has already prepaid 30% for last year's reservation.)
- Other costs: 3560 USDC -Shipping costs after production, event participation shipping costs, packaging design costs, and contingency
Notes:
This will be thoughtfully executed, it is not mass production but instead handpainted and packaged, and an accessible entry into the Nounsplex for people of all ages. Since soft vinyl toys can take about 6 months to produce, this proposal would be aiming to have them complete by Xmas 2026.

Expected Results: Who will attend? Toy buyers. Others?
On the surface, it could be an influx of toy buyers.
Attendees also aren’t random consumers, they’re buyers and collectors. People who understand assigning meaning, rarity, and identity to objects. Nouns fits that mindset natively and this is a real foot in the door.
The reason we focused more on characters than on glasses while creating vinyl toys is to create an image that appeals more to general toy buyers whilst still being obviously nounish to those in the know.
There is a hidden goal, underneath all of this, of bringing new artists to Nouns. It is expected that these events will inspire new artists to breathe vitality into Noun o clock, and Nouns, via honest curiosity.

Proposal written alongside Duckhead. We believe that this would be a good area of further exploration and hope the DAO chooses to support Duckhead on these early stages of the journey.
